Do I really need a dog waste removal service?
There are many reasons why dog waste should be quickly removed not least of which it pollutes our ground water, attracts disease-carrying pests and could endanger the health of your family, children and pets. And it should NEVER be used as garden compost.
You also have to ask yourself whether with everyone's busy schedule do YOU really have time to take care of this very necessary but unpleasant chore?
What does Call to Doody do with the poop?
Not only do we clean your yard of dog feces but we will bag it, take it away and dispose of it per Harris County Public Health & Environmental Services guidelines. Unlike many similar services, we DO NOT place it in your trash - we take it away so there's no need for you to ever see or smell it again.
How do I start service?
Call 281-573-8970 or email us at service@calltodoody.com and we'll take care of your doggie piles.
What happens if I want to suspend service or skip a week?
If your dog is away and you have no need for our service, please call or email us and we will ensure we skip you on our weekly route. Of course, you will not be charged for that week. Please give us 48 hours notice so we can adjust the routing.
Do I have to sign a contract?
Absolutely not! We believe you will be so satisfied with our service that there is no need to bind you to us. We offer a satisfaction guarantee and take it very seriously.
What is your Dog Out/Lock Out policy?
Since our employee has had to make the trip to provide you service, you will be charged for the visit. This applies to both a locked gate or dogs that will not allow us to safely come into your yard. We obviously don't want anyone getting hurt and will not ask our employees to jump a fence or enter any yard they do not feel safe in. We're sure you can appreciate this and feel the same.
What do you mean by "satisfaction guaranteed"?
Exactly that - if you are not 100% satisfied with our service, we will send someone out to re-scoop your yard either the same day or the very next day. Our goal is happy customers, happy dogs and clean yards!
Can't I just put the poop in my garden compost?
NO! Keep dog and cat poop out of your garden and compost pile. While many animal manures make valuable soil amendments, parasites carried in dog and cat feces can cause diseases in humans.
Dog and cat feces often contain roundworms and other parasites. Gardeners can ingest roundworm eggs from soil contaminated with dog or cat feces. Infection by just a few roundworms usually causes no problems, but more severe infections may cause fevers, bronchitis, asthma, or vision problems.
To minimize your exposure to diseases carried by your pets:
- Don't add dog or cat feces to your compost pile or garden soil.
- Keep pets from using your vegetable garden as a toilet. Laying 1-inch mesh chicken fencing over the vegetable bed usually deters pets but allows vegetables to grow up through it.
- Regularly clean up and dispose of dog and cat poop.
- Treat your dogs and cats for roundworms.
- Wash vegetables and fruits thoroughly before eating.
- Wear gloves while gardening.
- Wash your hands thoroughly after handling soil.

I had service today but see poop in the yard.
Depending on what time of the day we came by and whether your dog is out in the yard, please understand that this may now be "fresh" poop. Our goal is to clean every pile of poop but of course, once we leave, the calls of nature continue.....
How do you prevent the spread of disease from one yard to the next?
Before we enter your yard our tools and shoes are disinfected with veterinarian recommended solutions.
What happens in inclement weather?
We will always do our best to service you on your scheduled day, however, in the interest of safety, we will not provide service during an extreme rain storm or when there is lightening. We will service your yard the next day, weather permitting.
What days are your offices closed?
We observe the following holidays:
- New Year's Eve
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
If your scheduled day of service falls on one of these days, we will service you either the day before or the day after the holiday. Should you not need service at all that week, please contact us and we will omit you from the schedule.
How do I pay?
Invoices for weekly service are send out by the 5th of the month following the month of service and payment is due by the 15th of that month. You may either send us a check or opt to receive your invoice via email and pay through PayPal. A late payment fee of $3 is applied to all accounts not paid by the 15th of the month of invoice. Payment for one-time cleanups is required at the time of the visit.
In the unlikely event that a check is returned a $35 fee will be assessed.
